Find out about our adoptable dogs and how you can help!
The current building is 3000 square feet and was previously used as a church. While the building is in great shape, it is not exactly set up to house dogs. With the help of our amazing architect John, we have made plans to make changes to the building to maximize the area we have in order to best serve the needs of our dogs.
The new building will have multiple single dog rooms, rooms that can hold multiple dogs in a dorm fashion, and even an indoor play yard! The indoor play yard will also allow us to hold community events, fundraisers, and even training classes. With the purchase of the building, we acquired an amazing chunk of land too. Our short-term goal is to build outdoor play yards on the lot adjacent to the building. But we still have 4 more lots of land that we can expand onto in the future as we grow with either additional buildings or outdoor areas.
While we will still be a primarily foster based rescue, the building gives us the flexibility we need to be able to say yes to dogs that we would otherwise have to say no to. There are many times when we get asked to take a medical dog that needs emergency care or a pregnant momma dog or a dog that does not want dog friends and we have to say no because we do not have a place to put them. We strongly believe this building will allow us to say yes and save more dogs.
